Dr Frances Houwing is a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the Like Father Like Son project. She is a registered psychologist (clinical psychology registrar) with experience working as a researcher and clinician. Frances completed her PhD and Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University. Her research is focussed on understanding ways to promote child wellbeing, and her research tends to examine interactions between parents and children. One of her research interests is understanding the cognitive and social factors that influence parents' use of particular discipline practices with young children. Another research interest of hers is understanding the factors that contribute to emotional health problems in children and adolescents.
